If you’re using a chemical exfoliant and still not getting results… it’s usually the routine, not the acid.👇🏽 Step 1: Double cleanse (non-negotiable) Start on dry, dirty skin with an oil cleanser / cleansing balm. Massage for 60 seconds, rinse with water, then go in with your regular face wash. Step 2: Dry your skin completely Chemical exfoliants go on bone-dry skin — damp skin = higher chance of irritation. Step 3: Pick ONE exfoliant Choose based on your skin type: ✨ Lactic acid (gentler + glow) ✨ Mandelic acid (sensitive + acne-prone friendly) ✨ PHA toner (most gentle, barrier-friendly) ✨ Glycolic acid (stronger, texture/marks—use carefully) In the video, I used Caudalie Glycolic Acid Essence. Step 4: Wait 60 seconds, then layer your serum Let it sit for ~60 seconds. Then choose your “support” serum: ✅ Niacinamide 5% (or 10% only if you tolerate it) for brightness + pigmentation ✅ Hyaluronic acid / PDRN / hydrating serums for plumping + comfort (I misted toner, then went in with my HA serum.) Finish with eye cream + moisturiser. Rules you must follow ⚠️ Max 2x/week If you’re new: 1x/week for 2–3 weeks, then move to 2x/week. ⚠️ Start with the lowest strength possible. ☀️ If you’re using actives, sunscreen isn’t optional: apply enough + reapply.
