But here’s the problem: mineral oil isn’t a moisturiser.
It mainly coats the hair (think: instant slip + shine), so what you get is a temporary film on top of the strand, not real nourishment.

And over time, that coating can do two things:
 1. Build up → hair feels smoother short-term, but gets dull/heavy long-term
 2. Block penetration → it can actively reduce how well the beneficial oils/actives in the formula reach the hair shaft, so you’re paying for actives… that don’t really get to work.
